Histogram-based diffusion metrics for differentiation of benign &malignant gynecologic lesions

چکیده

Purpose: To evaluate the ability of ADC based histogram parameters to differentiate between benign and malignant gynecologic lesions. Results: The study was performed on 100 cases having 66 lesions &34 which were pathologically proved. There statistically significant difference qualitative diffusion weighted. range traditional partial slice mean parameter for masses (1.095 ± 0.315 x 10−3 mm2/s) (0.791 0.244 lower than values there as regard minimum (P = 0.01*, ) cutoff &minimum used from 0.905 & 0.680 10-3 mm2/s, respectively. We found that sensitivity, specificity accuracy higher ADC. Conclusions: Mean can with less diagnostic performance

Differentiation of benign and malignant breast lesions by apparent diffusion coefficient value in mass and non-mass lesions

Background: Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is one of methods in evaluation of breast lesions. We aimed to investigate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values in breast tumors and their accuracy in differentiating benign versus malignant lesions. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 72 patients with 88 breast lesions were investigated by 1.5-T breast MRI from 2015 to 2017 in Athari...

Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping for sinonasal diseases: differentiation of benign and malignant lesions.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE CT and MR imaging features of benign and malignant sinonasal lesions are often nonspecific. Therefore, we evaluated the ADC-based differentiation of these lesions. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively assessed ADCs of 61 patients with histologically proved sinonasal tumors and tumorlike lesions: 19 benign lesions, 28 malignant tumors, and 14 inflammatory lesions. Ov...

Differentiation of malignant and benign lung lesions with diffusion-weighted MR imaging

BACKGROUND The aim of the study was to evaluate the role of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in the differential diagnosis of lung lesions. PATIENTS AND METHODS.: Sixty-seven patients with lung lesions (48 malignant, 19 benign) were included in this prospective study. Signal intensities (SIs) were measured in diffusion-weighted MR images that were obtained with b=0, 500 and 1000 s...

Apparent diffusion coefficient measurements in the differentiation between benign and malignant lesions: a systematic review

OBJECTIVES To systematically review the value of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurement in the differentiation between benign and malignant lesions. METHODS A systematic search of the Medline/Pubmed and Embase databases revealed 109 relevant studies. Quality of these articles was assessed using the Quality Assessment of the Studies of Diagnostic Accuracy Included in Systematic Revie...
